Aaron Pohle was named men's and women's golf coach at Rocky Mountain College in summer 2012.  He was assistant coach for the previous four seasons.

The men’s and women’s Battlin’ Bear golf teams have each won NAIA Region 1 tournaments and the women advanced to the NAIA National tournament six consecutive years.

Rocky Mountain College broke 300 in three of four rounds and finished seventh at the 2019 NAIA Championship at Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz. Texas Wesleyan won the NAIA title for the seventh time in school history, and first since 1999, defeating runner-up Coastal Georgia by nine strokes. Rounding out the top five were Oklahoma City in third, Keiser University in fourth and South Carolina Beaufort and British Columbia tied for fifth.

The NAIA medalist was Coastal Georgia's Mark Johnson, who won a three-man playoff after shooting a 2-over 286. Playing in windy conditions, the course was par 71, measuring 6,925 yards and produced an average 18-hole score of 77.6 strokes.

Mitchell Thiessen tied for 29th (73-72-78-73=296) and Colton Murphy tied for 33rd (76-73-75-74=298) to lead the Bears.

Rocky Mountain shot the low score of each round and won the 2019 Frontier Conference Championship at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz. The Battlin' Bears repeated as Frontier winners, posting an eight-stroke win over runner-up Montana Tech. Lewis-Clark State took third in the six-team tournament. The course was par 72, measuring 6,964 yards and produced an average 18-hole score of 77.6 strokes.

Reece Nilsen placed second (74-75-69=218) and Michael Tait fourth (76-76-74=226) to lead the Bears.

Rocky Mountain finished 14th at the 2018 NAIA Championship, and won the Frontier Conference Championship.

Rocky Mountain placed second in the 2016 Frontier Conference Championship, third in 2017 and 2015 and fourth in 2013 and 2014.
