Chris Malloy was named Ole Miss golf coach in June 2014. He spent the previous four season as head coach at University of South Florida. Prior to USF Malloy spent four seasons as assistant coach at Florida State. Malloy competed at University of Mississippi.
Ole Miss missed a nationals berth by one stroke, taking sixth at the 2019 NCAA D-1 Stanford Regional at Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif. Stanford shot at least 6-under each day, and won the regional by 12 shots over co-runners up Arizona State and North Carolina. The five teams from the Stanford regional to advance to nationals were Stanford, ASU, North Carolina, Georgia Southern and Louisiana State. The course was par 70, measuring 6,727 yards and producing an average 18-hole score of 71.05 strokes. There were 68 subpar rounds posted, as weather was fine except for breezy conditions.
Jackson Suber tied for 12th (74-68-67=209) and Jack Snam tied for 17th (71-70-70=211) to lead the Rebels.
Mississippi placed 10th, missing match play by six shots, at the 2019 Southeastern Conference Championship at Sea Island Golf Club's Seaside Course in Sea Island, Ga. No. 7-seeded Arkansas defeated the top three seeds during match play, including No. 1 Auburn in the final to win the conference title. Auburn was easily best during stroke play, beating runner-up Vanderbilt by 15 strokes. The course was par 70, measuring 7,005 yards, and produced an average 18-hole score of 72.2 strokes. Sixty players posted sub-par rounds, but only six during the final day when high winds caused the average score to rise by four shots.
Jack Graham tied for 16th (67-70-74=211) and Jackson Suber was 34th (70-65-81=216) to lead the Rebels.
Mississippi placed sixth in the 2018 NCAA D-1 Bryan Regional, and tied for fifth in the SEC Championship.
Mississippi competed but didn't make the 54-hole cut, but claimed the individual national title at the 2017 NCAA Championship. The Rebels' Braden Thornberry won the NCAA medal with an 11-under 277 (66-71-69-71).
Ole Miss finished fourth in the 2017 NCAA D-I Austin Regional, and tied for fifth in the SEC Championship.
Ole Miss placed 13th of 14 in the 2016 Southeastern Conference Championship.
Mississippi placed 12th of 13 in the 2015 NCAA D-I San Diego Regional, and ninth in the Southeastern Conference Championship
Mississippi placed last of 14 teams in the 2014 Southeastern Conference Championship, and 12th in 2013.
Mississippi claimed sixth in the 2012 Southeastern Conference Championship. In 2011, the Rebels finished 10th in the NCAA East Regional, and eighth in the SEC tournament.
Ole Miss took 10th at the 2010 NCAA D-I Southeast Regional, and tied for second at the SEC tournament.
