Zach Barlow was named head golf coach in June 2019. He served the previous five years as assistant coach at University of Illinois. Barlow earned All-Big Ten honors competing for Illinois (2007-10).
University of Michigan concluded its abbreviated spring 2020 season with an eighth-place finish at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate at the Desert Mountain Outlaw Course in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Wolverines shot 293-310-297 to finish 58 strokes behind winner Vanderbilt who opened with a 20-under 268. The Commodores won by 24 over runner-up Mississippi State and Northwestern was nine further back in third. The course played to par 72, 7,052 yards with an average 18-hole score of 75.6 strokes. Players recorded 38 sub-par rounds over 54 holes.
Pier Francesco de Col (72-73-76=221) tied for 15th to pace the Wolverines. Patrick Sullivan (74-76-75=225) tied for 27th.
University of Michigan improved its scores each round and finished fourth in the 2019 Big Ten Conference Championship.

The Wolverines finished 10th in the 2017 NCAA D-I Washington Regional, and ninth in the Big Ten Championship.

Michigan placed seventh in the 2015 NCAA D-I Bremerton Regional, and 11th in the Big Ten Conference Championship.
University of Michigan finished 12th at the 2014 Big Ten Conference Championship, and 10th in 2011, 2012 and 2013 Big Ten Conference Championship. In 2010, the Wolverines tied for 10th at the 2011 NCAA Championship and won the NCAA Central Regional.
Michigan finished sixth at the 2010 NCAA Central Regionals, and took fourth in the Big Ten tournament.
Michigan finished in a tie for third at the 2009 NCAA Championships. The Wolverines placed fifth at the NCAA Division I Southwest Regional.
