Clayton Sikorski was named the head men’s and women’s golf coach at OUAZ in February 2017. Before moving to Phoenix, Sikorski was the head men’s and women’s golf coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

Ottawa University (AZ) finished 1-2-3 in the individual race and cruised to a 35-stroke win in the 2019 Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Championship at Catta Vedera Country Club in Lincoln, Calif. William Jessup U placed second, and Arizona Christian was third. The course played to par 72, 6,812 yards, and yielded a scoring average of 80.1 strokes.

The Spirit's Noah Hofman (77-73-73=223) claimed medalist honors, Carter Lewis (79-72-74=225) took second and Hector Barnetche (82-73-74=229) tied for third.

Ottawa held second place after each round in the fall 2018-19 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championship at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Fla. Erskine College grabbed a four-shot lead with a second-round two-under 286 and won by two strokes over the OUAZ Spirit. It was 21 shots back to third-place Campbellsville, and Southwestern Christian and Cedarville were well back in fourth and fifth.

Ottawa's Carter Lewis (68-71-75=214) and Noah Hofman (76-70-73-219) took first and second, and Austin Hardman (75-73-74=222) tied for fourth. The 12-team, 63-player field recorded an 18-hole scoring average of 80.2 over three rounds on the 7,050-yard, par-72 course.

Ottawa finished fifth in the fall 2017-18 NCCAA Championship.
