Steve Bradley was named South Florida head coach in July 2014. He was head coach at Mercer from 2011-2014, earning 2014 Atlantic Sun Conference Coach of the Year honors. Prior to Mercer, Bradley spent three seasons as assistant coach at University of Florida. Bradley played two years at Florida State and two years at UF where he graduated in 1999. He was team capatain of the 1999 Gator team that won the SEC Championship.
South Florida left the Big East Conference and joined the new American Athletic Conference (The American) on July 1, 2013.
University of South Florida blitzed the field with an opening 276 (-12) and rolled to a 23-stroke win over runner-up Florida Gulf Coast in the 2019 Ft. Lauderdale Collegiate at Ft. Lauderdale Country Club in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. UConn and Virginia Commonwealth tied for third, and Boston College took fifth in the 12-team tounament. The 6,861-yard, par-72 course yielded a 75.2 scoring average for 54 holes.
USF's Albin Bergstrom (67-66-68=201) claimed the medal by nine strokes, and teammate Luke Gifford (68-70-73=211) finished third.
South Florida faded on the final day and finished eighth in the 2018 NCAA D-1 Kissimmee Regional Championship at Reunion Resort in Reunion, Fla. Florida shot a 42-under 822 to win the regional by 12 shots over runner-up Central Florida. The five teams advancing from Kissimmee to nationals were Florida, Central Florida, Vanderbilt, North Carolina and Kent State. The course was par 72, measuring 7,154 yards and produced an average 18-hole score of 72.2 strokes.
Claudio Correa tied for 14th (69-72-71=212) to lead the Bulls. Jimmy Jones tied for 23rd (71-72-70=213).
South Florida shot par or better in every round and easily won the 2018 American Championship at Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Fla. The Bulls finished with a pair of 279s to win their fourth consecutive American title, beating runner-up Southern Methodist by 20 shots. Central Florida took third, Memphis fourth and Cincinnati fifth. Weather conditions were windy with some rain at the par 71, 7,125-yard course, where the average 18-hole score was 73.7 strokes.
The Bulls dominated the top of the leaderboard. Claudio Correa won the medal with a 6-under 207 (71-67-69), beating teammates Cristian DiMarco (71-69-70=210) and Jimmy Jones (71-70-69=210) by three strokes.

South Florida tied for fifth after losing its match play opener at the 2015 NCAA Championship, won the NCAA D-I New Haven Regional, as well as The American Championship.
South Florida finished 10th in the 2014 NCAA D-I San Antonio Regional, and fourth in the American Conference Championship.
South Florida tied for fifth then lost a one-hole playoff to Oklahoma for a nationals berth in the 2013 NCAA D-I Tallahassee Regional, and won the Big East Conference Championship.
South Florida finished ninth in the 2012 Big East Conference Championship, tied for fourth in 2011, took 11th in 2010 and fifth in 2009.
