Coach Kyle Frakes (since 1993) led the Tars to the 2002 NCAA Division II Championship. The team finished fourth nationally in 2001 and second in 2003.
The Rollins Tars opened with 314 and were never in the hunt finishing 14th, 12 strokes out of seventh needed to advance in the 20-team 2019 NCAA D-II South/Southeast Regional at the Mission Inn Resort in Howie-in-the-Hills, Fla. Lynn U shot par or better in two of three rounds to win by nine strokes over runner-up West Florida and 14 over third-place Barry. Other teams advancing to the D-II National Championship were Florida Southern, Lincoln Memorial, South Carolina-Aiken and Saint Leo. The number of teams advancing from this regional was determined by team performances from this regional at the previous year D-II championship. The 6,960-yard, par-72 course yielded a 76.5 stroke scoring average in breezy conditions for the 108-player field.
Walter Morgan Egloff (76-74-70=220) tied for 12th to lead Rollins. Trystan Perkins (77-74-77=228) tied for 46th.
The Tars improved their team score each round and tied for fifth in the 2019 Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Championship at Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City, Fla. Barry shot under par each round and took the title by six strokes over runner-up Lynn. Nova Southeastern claimed third and Florida Southern was fourth. The 11-team, 55-player field recorded a 74.6 scoring average for three rounds on the 7,097-yard, par-72 course. 35 sub-par rounds were posted.
Trystan Perkins (75-72-72=219) and Nicholas Diebel (75-76-70=221) cracked the top 20 for the Tars.
Rollins finished 13th in the 20-team 2018 NCAA D-II South/Southeast Regional. The Tars placed sixth in the 2018 Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Championship.
Rollins finished 19th at the 20-team 2017 NCAA D-II South/Southeast Regional and seventh in the 2017 SSC Championship.

The Tars tied for 16th at the 20-team 2014 NCAA D-II South/Southeast Regional. Rollins finished sixth at the 2014 SSC Championship.
Rollins finished 12th at the 20-team 2013 NCAA D-II South/Southeast Regional. The Tars placed fifth in the 2013 SSC Championship.
Rollins placed 10th in 2010, 19th in 2011 and 11th in 2012 at the NCAA D-II South/Southeast Regional.
Frakes attended Rollins and earned a degree (liberal studies, 1989) from State University of New York-Albany.
