In the final event of the shortened spring 2020 season, Washington & Lee University closed with 286-284 to finish 6-under, but only good enough for sixth in the Savannah Invitational at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, GA.  Carnegie Mellon finished with a 31-under total of 833 to win by seven shots over Huntingdon and by 12 over third-place Emory. Guilford and Methodist tied for fourth in the 18-team tournament. The course was par 72, measuring 6,845 yards and produced an average 18-hole score of 73.3 strokes. Players recorded 94 sub-par rounds over 54 holes.

The Generals' Brian Peccie tied for fifth at 7-under 209 (69-69-71) and Robert Quinilty tied for 37th (72-73-72=217).

W&L missed the 36-hole cut and finished 19th at the 2019 NCAA D-III Championship. The Generals shot 7-under in the final two rounds to win the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship.

Washington & Lee shot four solid rounds under 300 and finished second at the 2018 NCAA D-III Championship. Brian Peccie won the individual title in a playoff. W&L played well but could not match Guilford at the 2018 ODAC Championship.

Washington & Lee shot placed 14th at the 2017 NCAA D-III Championship. The Generals held second place after each round in brutal weather at the 2017 ODAC Championship.

Washington & Lee tied for third at the 2016 NCAA D-III Championship. The Generals won the 2016 ODAC Championship

Washington & Lee placed second at the weather-shortened 2015 Old Dominion Conference (ODAC) Championship.

The Generals finished second at the 2014 ODAC Championship.

W&L finished fourth at the 2013 ODAC Championship. They were third in 2012.

The Generals finished 16th in 2008 and 17th in 2009 at the NCAA D-III Championship after capturing ODAC titles.

Facilities:
Team Home Course: The Generals play all of their home matches and practice rounds at the 18-hole Lexington Golf and Country Club course located just south of the city limits. The course, recognized as one of the most picturesque and challenging in the state, has been the Generals’ home for over 60 years. The course was redesigned in 1969 and a new nine was added at that time as well. Noted Augusta, Ga., architect Ellis Maples, who designed the No. 5 course at the Pinehurst Resort, was brought in to design the new course.
