Greg Allen, women's golf coach at Vanderbilt since 2007, was coach at University of Arizona from 2000-2006.  Allen led the UA Wildcats to two Pac-10 Championships and a runner-up finish at the 2002 NCAA Championship led by two future LGPA stars, Lorena Ochoa and Natalie Gulbis. Allen is a 1993 graduate (journalism) from Murray State University focusing on sports. From 1993 to 1998 he worked for the AJGA as a communications director and tournament director. Allen served as assistant men’s coach at University of Texas from 1998-2000.

Vanderbilt University concluded its abbreviated spring 2020 season with a 12th-place finish at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C.  Vandy broke 300 in only one of three rounds, and the closing 312 cost a top-10 finish. Wake Forest shot the low team score each day and cruised to a 26-stroke win over runner-up Auburn with Duke, UCLA and Texas filling out the top five in the 17-team tournament. The course played to par 71, 6,290 yards with an average 18-hole score of 76.1 strokes in windy conditions.

The Commodores' Austin Kim (72-72-76=220) tied for 10th, and Louise Yu (72-75-79=226) tied for 43rd.

Vanderbilt placed 23rd of 24 at the 2019 NCAA D-1 Championship. The Commodores rallied to win the 2019 NCAA D-1 Auburn Regional. They tied for fifth after losing the match play quarterfinal at the 2019 Southeastern Conference Championship.

Vanderbilt tied for 12th in the 2018 NCAA D-1 Tallahassee Regional, and tied for fifth in the SEC Championship.

Vanderbilt placed ninth in the 2017 Southeastern Conference Championship.

Vanderbilt finished 10th in the NCAA D-I Shoal Creek Regional, and 10th in the Southeastern Conference Championship.

Vanderbilt finished ninth in the 2015 NCAA D-I St. George Regional, and third in the Southeastern Conference Championship.

Vanderbilt placed 10th in the 2014 NCAA Championship, won the NCAA D-I East Regional and the Southeastern Conference Championship.

Vanderbilt placed 18th in the NCAA Championship, third in the NCAA D-I West Regional and fourth in the Southeastern Conference Championship.

Vanderbilt took 11th in the 2012 NCAA Championship, second at the NCAA D1 Central . The Commodores tied for 10th in the 2011 NCAA Championship.They took seventh in 2010.

 

 

Facilities:
School Owned Course: Vanderbilt Legends Club is a 36-hole facility that was built in 1992 and has already hosted important championships including the 1997 USGA Girls Championship and the LPGA Tour.
Other Area Courses: Golf Club of Tennessee, Belle Meade Country Club and Brentwood Country Club
Practice Facilities: Vanderbilt has a state-of-the-art Golf House and Training Center at Legends Club built in 2013.
